Metalheads rejoice. IK Multimedia has taken its experience with the AmpliTube amp modeling software and made a new product specifically designed for guitarists that play Heavy Metal.

AmpliTube Metal includes 36 modern and vintage amps, 12 stomp box models, seven distortion pedals and 5 other metal stomp-boxes. Metal also comes with four amp heads and eight cabinets for 32 high-gain amp combinations. Rounding out the features are eight rack effects.

The modeled amps and effects span the late 70’s through the 90’s.

AmpliTube Metal will have the same interface as AmpliTube 2, so it should be very familiar to regular users.

The software will be available sometime before the end of the year as a standalone application and a VST, AU and RTAS plug-in. AmpliTube Metal will cost $249.
