Music software specialist iZotope on Friday announced iZotope RX audio restoration software. The software is a standalone application that includes tools for cleaning up audio tracks.

According to the company, iZotope RX is not the same technology other companies use to clean up audio — this was developer by iZotope’s research team to remove hiss and buzz, eliminate clicks and crackles, and repair overloaded distortion in audio. The comapny also said that an intelligent spectral repair algorithms can even analyze and fill gaps in audio files to restore previously unusable recordings.

Among the features included in iZotope RX are Denoiser, Spectral Repair, Declipper, Hum Removal, Declicker, Spectrogram, Selective Processing, Batch Processing.

The application is available nor and costs $349.
