Call Box has introduced Panasonic P2 Workflow with Final Cut Pro and the HVX200, a new training DVD for video pros working with Panasonic’s HVX200 camera and Apple’s Final Cut Pro video editing software. It costs $74.99.
The advanced video camera records DVCPRO HD high definition 24p footage to P2 solid-state memory cards. It’s changing the mix for producers and editors who are used to working with tape.
The DVD features two and a half hours of tutorial, broken down into learning modules with demonstrations. Topics include Field Workflow, 720p and 1080i, editing system shopping lists, P2 store and P2 drive, data archive strategies, output to Apple Color, output for 24p DVD, native MXF editing with Raylight and more. And while the HVX200 is mentioned by name in the title, this applies to other P2-based HD and SD cameras including the HPX500, SPX800 and HPX2000, according to Call Box.
