MacPractice on Monday announced the release of MacPractice EMR for eye doctors. MacPractice EMR is an electronic medical recordkeeping system designed for various medical practices, including doctors, dentists and chiropractors. It costs $2,500 plus $500 annually for support and updates.

MacPractice EMR is a specialized version of MacPractice MD with the ability to create eyeglass and lens prescriptions and retain frame info. Doctors can create clinical data like health history and notes with graphics attached. The software also includes scheduling, treatment plans, billing and other functionality.
