Nemetschek North America on Tuesday announced the release of Service Pack 2 for its VectorWorks 2008 line of software for Mac OS X. VectorWorks 2008 is computer-aided design software that includes specialty packages Designer, Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, Machine Design, Fundamentals and RenderWorks.

The new release supports key technologies found in Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard," including Cover Flow and Quick Look. Users can now view VectorWorks files as they browse the file system without having to open the application.

Additionally, the update improves the display of rectangular object orientation in plan rotation, and handles class visibilities more flexibly. Additional content has been added, including Munsell colors and enhanced plant libraries.

The update is available as a downloadable updater.
