Yazsoft has updated Speed Download to version 4.1.19. The update gains fixes for Leopard. A free update for registered 4.x users, Speed Download costs $25.

Speed Download is an Internet download manager. The software is an FTP client, but it also manages file transfers between Macs, remote connections via Terminal and other features. You can schedule downloads, set up smart folders and apply filters so files with different extensions land in different spots on your disk.

New to the 4.1.19 update are a few Leopard-related files. Bonjour (Apple's name for zero-configuration networking) in Leopard is now supported, and other areas of improved performance for Leopard have been added. The SD plug-in has been updated, compatibility has been improved with box.net and localized language info has been updated.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4.6 or later.
