Findley Designs has released iPod Access Photo v1.3, an update to its software for viewing and retrieving photos on iPods. A free update for registered users, iPod Access Photo costs $12.99.

iPod Acess Photo helps users get photos off the iPod and back onto the computer. The software decodes the thumbnail files that the iPod uses (that normally can't be read in image programs) and transfers photos from the iPod to the computer.

New to this version is support both for the iPhone and the iPod touch. Support for iPod classic and iPod nano third-generation devices has been improved, and Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard" is now supported.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later.
