eMedia Music has announced the release of a new "plug and play" version of its Learn to Play Keyboard Pack, which teaches you the basics of playing the keyboard. It comes with a MIDI keyboard and USB cable bundled with eMedia's own Piano & Keyboard software, all together for $149.95.

The pack includes a touch-sensitive keyboard that features 49 keys, a pitch and modulation wheel and two buttons that let you transpose up and down the octaves. The keyboard also simulates the weighted keys of a piano.

The CD-ROM included with the keyboard has more than 300 step-by-step lessons that teach students hand position, rhythm, and playing on black keys, the basics of music notation, sight reading, scales and more. The pack also includes more than 100 hit songs from popular artists including Billy Joel, Bob Dylan and Elton John.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or later.
