Elgato has released an update to its EyeTV DVR (Digital Video Recorder) software. EyeTV is software that powers its own line of TV interfaces for the Mac, and is also licensed for use with other manufacturer’s devices.

EyeTV provides users with the ability to record and edit video on their Mac, using devices that can interface with analog or digital video signals. It features timeshifting, output abilities to different formats and Electronic Program Guide (EPG) interfacing, so you can schedule recordings for later.

New to the 2.5.2 release of EyeTV are bug fixes Ñ a reception issue has been fixed for EyeTV working with the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) Stick. A reception issue with the EyeTV Diversity has also been corrected. And a problem where the EyeTV Hybrid would lose sound after running for a while in analog mode is fixed. A Problem with CPU usage when recording in Video CD (VCD) Quality under Leopard on a single PowerPC has also been fixed.
