Hearing Components has announced Whoomp! Earbud Enhancers, accessories designed to improve Apple's iPod earbuds. The devices are foam tips that fit onto the earbuds, and they cost $19.95 for a package containing two pair.

Whoomp! Earbud Enhancers are made of "Comply" foam, which the manufacturer says are 30 times software than the silicone used on ordinary, factory-supplied earbuds. The tips mold to the shape of your ears and help to provide a more snug fit, according to the manufacturer. Other benefits include the blocking of unwanted noise and improved bass response.

Each package includes one pair of standard-sized enhancers, one pair of slim sized enhancers and one deluxe travel pouch suitable for carrying the earbuds and the enhancers. They work with iPod and iPhone earbuds and other round earbuds with a 13mm to 15mm diameter.
