Oranged.net Software, makers of Studiometry, on Tuesday announced the release of Accounted 1.1, an update to their accounting software for Mac OS X and Windows. It costs $69.95; the update is free for registered users.

Accounted features double-entry accounting, accounts receivable and payable tracking, split transactions, and check printing.

New to the 1.1 release are Equity Accounts, which let users generate Balance Sheet reports. The update adds more importing and exporting options, including QIF importing for use with bank account Web sites. Account Ledgers can now be exported to text files. Other improvements have also been made.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3 or later.
