Chronos on Friday announced the release of SOHO Labels 3.5, an update to its label printing software. Free for registered users, SOHO Labels costs $39.99.

SOHO Labels helps you design and print labels, envelopes and letterhead on your Mac. The software includes thousands of photos and vector clip art images, Bitstream fonts, a collection of predesigned label, envelope and letterhead sets, and "super masks." It works with more than 1,500 label products, including CD/DVD labels and envelope stocks from major vendors like Avery and Dymo.

New to the 3.5 release is the ability to sort contacts by zip code, along with circular text boxes that can now be placed on designs. A number of enhancements, optimizations and fixes have also been made. Contact is now clipped to the printable area when printing disc labels, for example, and a search bug has been fixed that caused the first contact instead of the selected contact to be printed. Problems have also been corrected with drop shadows on images, double-clicking grouped objects, "jittering" windows and drawing glitches.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later. A demo is available for download.
