FileWave on Friday announced the release of FileWave 3.5, a new version of its software managment suite that's now compatible with Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard."

Designed for networked environments, FileWave enables system managers to centrally manage the installation and distribution of software. You can use it to run installers, create customized install packages for specific machines or system configuration, apply patches and updates, modify individual files, and even roll back application changes. It's designed to dovetail with Asset Trustee inventory management software.

The update is the first release of FileWave that's fully compatible with Leopard. It also features performance enhancements and more flexible administration, user interface improvements, and the ability to mass-deploy the FileWave client software on first-time installations. Login and server updating performance has also been improved.
