CourseForum Technologies has released ProjectForum 6.0, an upgrade to their collaboration application for Mac OS X. ProjectForum is available for free, though advanced licenses start at $79. A fully managed host version is also available.

ProjectForum enables groups to collaborate by creating Wikis -- a collection of Web pages that anyone can visit or edit and add content to. ProjectForum is especially designed for small and medium workgroups, and it runs on an organizations own network. It supports full version control, authentication, document management, branding support and other features.

New to the 6.0 release is a new Wiki-oriented visual Web page editor that goes alongside existing tools. A new site-wide user account option has been added to the standard version that was previously limited to higher end enterprise customers.
