BeLight Software on Tuesday announced the release of Live Interior 3D version 1.5, an update to its interior design software for the Mac. It costs $79.95; upgrades are free for registered users.

Live Interior helps you create virtual house, office and apartment interiors complete with 3D walkthroughs. The software lets you edit in either 2D or 3D, shoot movies of your interior, add text annotations and display measurements.

New to the 1.5 release is a Light Source Editor that lets you compose and edit lamps, adjust and add different types of light sources to any furniture objects. Importing Google SketchUp and 3DS objects now supports groups. New designs have been added. The software now supports high-res screenshots, and QuickTime VR panoramas and movies have been improved. And bugs with with exporting to high-res screenshots are gone.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later.
