The producers of a new documentary on the Macintosh are set to premiere the new movie at the Wisconsin Film Festival. “Welcome to Macintosh” makes its debut on April 6, 2008.

The feature-length movie takes viewers from the Apple I days straight through the modern era — a history of Apple’s impact on modern culture, with a specific emphasis on the lifestyle of Mac users. The documentary includes interviews including Andy Hertzfeld, co-creator of the first Mac, Guy Kawasaki, Apple’s first evangelist, and Leander Kahney, author of “Cult of Mac” and “Cult of iPod.”

The movie was, of course, created on the Mac, using Apple hardware and software (as well as Adobe Photoshop).
