Primera Technology on Tuesday announced that its Bravo and XR disc duplicators will now include Charismacs Discribe 6.0 software. That paves the way for the disc duplicators to support Blu-ray Disc duplication on Mac, according to Primera.

Beginning April 1st, Primera will include Discribe 6.0 on all Bravo and XR-series disc duplication systems. Discribe 6.0 has been rewritten as a Universal binary that runs natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. Discribe 6.0 features a new user interface and new capabilities, including support for Blu-ray Disc burning, supported on some Bravo and XR-series duplicators.

Primera customers who bought units after September 1, 2007 can get the upgraded software for free. others can purchase it for $149 for single-drive units and $225 for dual-drive units. Visit Primera’s Web site for details.
