Western Digital (WD) on Wednesday announced that its My Passport Essential portable USB drive is now available in 10 new colors. The drive is available in 160GB, 250GB and 320GB capacities for $119.99, $149.99 and $179.99 respectively.

My Passport Essential drives are powered via USB and utilize 2.5-inch mechanisms inside. They’re designed to be easy to carry, and include a USB 2.0 cable to connect to a Mac or PC.

The Passport Essential hard drives are Mac and PC-compatible, though Western Digital includes software that is Windows-compatible only. It lists the drive as being compatible with Mac OS X v10.4.11 or later.

The drive is already available in black. New colors include orange, yellow, blue, white, violet, red, green, red, dark blue and pink.
