Savant Systems on Tuesday announced its new Open Developer Alliance program. Savant is a developer of control and home automation systems based on Mac OS X.

Savant develops high-end control and home automation systems that run using a graphical programming environment called RacePoint Blueprint. The software works with Mac hardware and supports Mac OS X technology like Quartz Composer and Automator. Savant’s systems drive its own “ROSIE” controllers and integrate with in-wall touch panel displays, coffee table controllers, the iPhone and iPod touch.

The new developer program Savant has announced enables developers to create Automator Actions to control devices like flat panel displays, DVD players, AV receivers, set-top boxes, Apple TVs, lighting, window treatments and other equipment commonly used by home entertainment installers and system integrators.
