Information Appliance Associates has announced the release of PocketMac RingtoneStudio for Blackberry, a tool for Mac OS X users who want to make their own custom ringtones for a RIM Blackberry smartphone. It costs $14.95.

PocketMac RingtoneStudio lets you convert sound files to use as ringtones on the BlackBerry. It works with iTunes tracks (that don’t have DRM on them) and can also work with audio clips from movies. It lets you select which 30-second piece you want to use — a feature IAA calls “the EditingBay.”

PocketMac RingtoneStudio for BlackBerry works with the BlackBerry Pearl (8100), Curve (8300) and 8800 series devices that have a microSD expansion card installed.

SYstem requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
