MacSoft has announced that Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties has gone gold master and is headed to duplication. It's scheduled to arrive in stores on August 12, 2008 for $29.99.

This expansion pack to Age of Empires III adds new content and new abilities to MacSoft's popular Mac OS X conversion of the real-time strategy game. You can command one of three Asian civilizations: The Indians, the Chinese or the Japanese. Each one features unique units and capabilities, with armies led by special units like Monks, Daimyo and Mansabdars.

Three new single-player campaigns have been added to the game, with the addition of new heroes and villains that have been culled from Asian history. The game also sports a new Expert resource and new Wonders of the World. New game modes have been added including King of the Hill, Regicide and Treaty No-Blockade. Also new are 11 new random maps and three new home cities.

Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties is rated T for Teen by the ESRB.
