Nova Media on Friday announced the release of Phone Plugins version 2.2. Phone Plugins costs $9.95; registered users can download the new 2.2 release for free.

Phone Plugins helps users with select Motorola, Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson cell phones to quick-dial numbers and quick-send text messages. You can use Phone Plugins from any program in Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard” and it doesn’t require any extra open applications.

The new 2.2 release offers contextual menu support to send text messages and dial numbers using Apple Mail. New cell phone models are also supported.
