MacSoft on Tuesday announced that its expansion pack for Age of Empires III, The Asian Dynasties, has shipped to stores. It costs $29.99.
Designed to complement the popular Age of Empires III real-time strategy game also published for the Mac by MacSoft, The Asian Dynasties features new capabilities. The pack adds three new playable Asian civilizations, each led by special unique units. Three new single-player campaigns have been added and a new Expert resource and additional “Wonders of the World.” New game modes have been incorporated, too, including King of the Hill, Regicide and Treaty No-Blockade. What’s more, 11 new random maps have been included and three new Home Cities have been added.
Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties has been rated T for Teen by the ESRB. Because it’s an expansion pack, The Asian Dynasties requires the original game to play, and imposes the same system requirements: G4/1.2GHz or faster (Intel included); Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, 512MB RAM, 64MB VRAM, CD-ROM.
