VertexDSP has updated its FaderWorks audio plug-in fixing a bug it had with Pro Tools and adding a couple of new features.

In the previous version of FaderWorks, ProTools would reset shared data when adding a new instance of FaderWorks. This issue has been fixed in the latest release of the software.

VertexDSP also added a couple of enhancements to the software like changes of PDC settings now take effect immediately without (re)starting audio and the slider position on the PDC page is now remembered.

FaderWorks is placed in the effect chain of an audio track, allowing you to control the volume of other audio plug-ins. Multiple instances of the plug-in can be opened and connected together.

FaderWorks costs $129 and is available from the company’s Web site.
