Streaming Networks on Monday unveiled iRecord Pro, allowing users to record audio and video directly to the iPhone, iPod touch, iPod nano and iPod Classic without using a computer.

iRecord Pro uses standard audio/video (AV) connectors to connect to any TV, set-top-box, digital video recorder, camcorder, VCR, DVD player, cassette and LP player. When connected, you push a button and iRecord Pro records the content directly to your device.

iRecord Pro supports full resolution D1 (720x480) video encoding and it can also transcode MPEG2 content to H.264. It also supports WAV & FLAC lossless audio recording.

You can connect the device to your Mac if you want and you can simultaneously watch or listen to what is being recorded on the same Mac or stream the content to another machine for viewing.

iRecord Pro costs $259.99.
