Hard drive-maker LaCie on Wednesday introduced a new line of media servers called Network Space. The new networked attached storage units were designed by Neil Poulton.

Network Space was specifically designed for home and small office use, the company said. Available in capacities of 500 gigabytes to 1 terabyte, the unit comes with two separate shares —  one public and the other is password-protected for secured private use.

Acting as a media server, Netowrk space can stream content to the Xbox 360, Playstation and can also be an iTunes music server. You can connect to the Network Space via Gigabit Ethernet or the front-facing USB 2.0 port.

The Network Space will be available in early September stating at $149.99.
