Workamajig (formerly Creative Manager Pro), software for managing ad agencies and projects, has been updated with new features. The update is free for current users.
Workamajig is a Web-based software system that helps you track jobs and manage projects. It’s designed for use by an entire ad agency — it handles sales, account and project management, production, purchasing, creative content management, media, billing and accounting and more.
New to this release is drag and drop support for Flash calendars. You can manage your calendar directly through the graphical Calendar view, and a revamped and renewed calendar is on the way.
Flash-based calendars will also introduce two new types of meetings into the Workamajig workflow — Personal and Public. Personal meetings are visible only to meeting attendees, while Public meetings are accessible to anyone with rights to view that public meeting folder. Users will be able to combine calendars for their company and project events, filter the project calendars by client and more.
What’s more, Workamajig has laid the foundation for supporting Mac OS X 10.6 “Snow Leopard,” the next iteration of Mac OS X that Apple first announced at its WWDC conference earlier this year. Apple has not specified a release date for Snow Leopard, but is planning the new version of Mac OS X to bolster features and capabilities especially for Intel-based Mac users.
