Lava Software released an update for its password management application, PasswordVault. The new version adds several handy features to allow easier addition and management of passwords.

PasswordVault 6.1 added instant search and the ability to add entries by dropping a Web address onto the main window. The new version also adds backup, as well as sync over a local network and the Internet.

PasswordVault features auto-filling of Web forms, 896-bit Blowfish encryption, Master Password Recovery System, random password generator and auto-lock timer with clipboard clear.

The company is offering a five-user pack for $39 for a limited time. Larger packs are also available.
