KavaSoft on Monday announced the release of KavaMovies 1.1, an update to their Mac movie database software. A free update for existing users, KavaMovies 1.1 costs $35.

KavaMovies helps you organize the movies you’ve seen, movies you want to see, and the movies you own. It connects to the Internet and downloads information about those movies, as well.

New to the 1.1 release is the addition of charts like the top 250 movies, this weekend’s box office results, video rentals, top lists by decade and genre and more.

Also new in this release are keywords that are now linked to related movies. Click on a keyword and you’ll be directed to other movies that match those results. You can also organize movies by dragging them; KavaMovies remembers where you put it.

KavaMovies requires Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard.”
