.com Solutions, a FileMaker developer, has updated its FmPro Migrator plug-in to add support for the newly released FileMaker Pro 10.

FmPro Migrator Developer Edition 4.56 features support for performing table consolidation projects and Bento 2 migrations with FileMaker Pro Advanced 10. The Table Consolidation feature in FmPro Migrator performs an automated batch copy of tables/fields, TOs, relationships, layouts, and scripts. The plug-in also automatically converts Bento files to FileMaker Pro 10.

In addition, Version 4.56 includes a new relationship conversion feature for related tables appearing on each Bento 2 form. FmPro Migrator Developer Edition copies the table structure and data within each JoinTable created when a related table is added to a Bento 2 form; it also creates a portal to the JoinTable on each layout where the related table is displayed.

The latest version of FmPro Migrator Developer Edition also adds support for FileMaker Pro-to-Valentina database migrations, according to .com Solutions. Valentina is a fast object-relational database aimed at embedded appliations development.

FmPro Migrator Developer Edition costs $200 per developer; existing users may upgrade for free. .com Solutions offers a functional demo version of its app.

.com Solutions also updated FmPro Script Diff, a tool that searches, edits, and compares ScriptMaker scripts. FmPro Script Diff 1.38 supports each of the new script steps and calculation functions added to FileMaker Pro 10.

Updated at 9:42 a.m. to add information on the FmPro Script Diff update.
