Macworld Pulse: Craig Hockenberry

Macworld Pulse was a special event on the last day of Macworld Expo, a program of interviews with and presentations from interesting people in the Mac world, including Adam Engst, Andy Ihnatko, John Gruber, Merlin Mann, Chris Pirillo, and developers Wil Shipley, Craig Hockenberry, and Rich Siegel.

Through the kindness of the good people at Macworld Expo, we're able to post and present these videos. We'll be posting them on Macworld's YouTube channel and also embedding them here on

First up: My 25-minute-long interview with Craig Hockenberry, Chief Typist at The Iconfactory and author of Twitterrific for Mac and iPhone. Our topics: The unique challenges in designing software for the iPhone — a device that's operated by your finger rather than a mouse, and operated while you're walking down the street rather than sitting quietly in a chair. Also we talk about Twitter, and what makes it a fascinating new way to communicate.

We'll be posting more videos from Macworld Pulse in the coming days, so stay tuned.
