SmileOnMyMac has announced the release of PageSender 4.4, a new version of its fax software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users of version 4, PageSender costs $39.95.

PageSender lets you fax anything you can print. It features a “Fax Center” that lets you manage and automate your fax activities; you can send and receive faxes, e-mail them, and process them using AppleScript; filter out fax spam; design custom fax cover pages; integrate with Address Book, Entourage, Now Contact and Palm Desktop, attach PDF files and much more.

The new release of PageSender has added several fax-via-email services, including Faxaway, Ring Central, MetroFax, TrustFax and Fax FX. QuickBooks 2009 and other “garbage-collected” applications are now supported; 64-bit applications are now supported (in preparation of Snow Leopard’s release), and other minor fixes and improvements have been made.

PageSender requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
