App4Mac has announced the release of CheckUp 2.1, an update to their diagnostic utility software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users, CheckUp costs $25.

CheckUp helps you check disks and memory, looks for bad components like defective RAM and faulty hard drives that support S.M.A.R.T. status monitoring. You can find out how many apps, fonts, drivers and extensions are installed, find out information about your Mac’s capabilities, view processor usage, monitor used bandwidth, view what processes are active, and check up on remote computers.

The new release features an improved user interface, supports RAID disks, improves support of Spaces, performs a better memory test, updates documentation and manages licenses better, fixes bugs and has a lower price than before.
