SpectorSoft has announced the release of eBlaster mac 2009, a surveillance and monitoring software tool for Mac OS X. It costs $100.

eBlaster is aimed at families or businesses concerned about what’s happening on computers in those environments. It lets parents and employers run activity reports at regular intervals, and will provide instant notifications of e-mails, instant messages and chats. It can also record keystrokes, keep track of what Web sites were visited and what applications have been run.

Those activity reports can be sent to any e-mail address, and users can also remotely access and change eBlaster settings using a standard Web browser.

eBlaster is a followup to SpectorSoft’s 2008 release of Spector Pro mac 2009.

System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
