MacVide has announced the release of SkypeCap 1.3, an update to its Skype audio conversation recording app for Mac OS X. It’s a free update for registered users, and costs $40.

SkypeCap lets you record audio conversations you have using Skype, the popular Voice over IP (VoIP) chat software. SkypeCap records the audio to an MP4 file, making it easier to archive teleconference calls, meetings and training you’re doing using Skype.

New to the 1.3 release is improved stability and visible Recording Status within conversation recording.

System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4 or later and 12MB hard disk drive space.
