Toontrack music on Wednesday released a new expansion pack for its flagship product, Superior Drummer 2.0.

New York Studios Volume 2 is a collection of drum kits recorded at two famous studios in New York, Hit Factory and Allaire Studios. Toontrack assembled some of the best talent in the industry to record the drum samples, including engineer and producer Pat Thrall (Glenn Hughes, Black Crowes, Beyoncé etc), producer Neil Dorfsman (Kiss, Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits and Sting) and drummer Nir Z (Genesis, John Mayer, Joss Stone and Chris Cornell).

The recordings have some vintage gear like a 1930s Ludwig snare and a 1940s Black Beauty snare. There are also some Ludwig vintage 1960s toms, as well as Gretsch, Slingerland, Sabian and Rogers kit pieces as well.

New York Studios Volume 2 costs $179 and requires Superior Drummer 2.0 to be installed.
