Eltima Software on Tuesday announced the release of Recover PDF Password for Mac OS X. It costs $40.

Recover PDF Password, whose function is self-evident based on its title, unlocks restricted PDF documents by using various methods to recover passwords you've forgotten or misplaced: It can work using password length, by template or through brute-force search. It supports all character encodings, input languages and keyboard layout. It can also retrieve Unicode-encoded passwords for Acrobat 9.x files.

System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4 or later. A demo is available.
