NomaDesk on Wednesday announced the release of the Mac version of NomaDesk and a “mobile extension” for the iPhone. It’s priced at $15 per month for teams, $50 a year for individuals. A free trial is available. Both the Mac version and the iPhone Mobile Extension are being offered as free beta versions.

NomaDesk is available in two separate versions — a “Team Fileserver” for people who want to share and collaborate on documents, and a “Personal Fileserver” for those who use different computers but want to make sure information is synchronized.

Files stored on NomaDesk’s servers are encrypted and password protected. Features include the ability to e-mail files to your fileserver, link files using a public download, and “theftguard,” which will enable you to remove your data if your computer gets stolen. “Delta-sync” synchronizes only those parts of a file which have changed, to make more efficient use of the network.

The “iPhone Extension” is an online dashboard optimized for the iPhone that provides you with access to NomaDesk files and file sharking services.

System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.5 or later, 1GB hard disk space, 1GB RAM.
