Corel has launched an update to its Painter 11 software package that is available immediately as a free download for current Painter 11 users. The update delivers on numerous requests from the Painter community, including improvements to transformations, color management, copy and paste, performance, tablet functionality, auto-painting, and more.

“The Painter community has always been instrumental in guiding our development process and we continue to look to them to understand how to make their experience even more natural and intuitive,” said Rob MacDonald, Painter’s product manager. “This update will provide users with some of the key changes and enhancements they have been requesting based on how they want to use Painter 11 within their creative workflows.”

The update is available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Korean.

Current Corel Painter 11 users will receive this update via an in-product auto-update, or they can download it for free at Corel’s Website.

Painter 11 ( ) won a Macworld Editors' Choice award in 2009 based on improvements in speed, a slew of new brushes, resizable palettes, and PNG support.
