China won’t be the only country to get the iPad on Friday. On Apple’s Latin American site, the company announced that the iPad will also arrive in five South American countries on September 17.

The countries that will receive the iPad on Friday are Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, and Peru. Unlike China, however, customers in these countries will get a choice between the iPad’s Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G models. In China, Apple apparently has yet to strike a wireless service deal with a local carrier for the iPad Wi-Fi + 3G model, even though China Unicom already carries the iPhone.

Customers can check availability and pricing at Apple’s Latin American store finder.
