If you love air travel and dextrous use of your hands, you’re either a TSA agent or a fan of Flight Control, Firemint’s award-winning game for iPhone and iPad. Flight Control fanatics can now also play the air traffic game on Macs and PCs, since Flight Control HD is now available via Steam.

Don’t fear festooning your monitor with fingerprints. Unsurprisingly, now that Flight Control has taken flight from iOS devices to more traditional computers, you’ll use your mouse to guide the onslaught of aircraft to their proper landing strips. A new, Steam-exclusive Stunt Map lets you increase your score by navigating planes through gates before they land—though you can also play the maps you already know and love from the handheld version of the game.

As a true Steam game, you can pause your game on one computer and resume it on another. Key features from the iOS versions of the game—the leaderboard, fast-forward mode, and the delightful graphics—remain largely unchanged.

Flight Control HD for Mac costs $5 and requires Mac OS X 10.5.8, or 10.6.3 or later. You are not required to submit to an enhanced pat-down.
