The new MacBook Air is so thin—how thin is it, Dan?—that it’s pretty hard, if not impossible, to stand it upright. But if you just can’t stand your Air, there’s help at hand from the folks at Twelve South. The company has now released a version of its desktop stand specifically for the MacBook Air.
Like its previous BookArcs for the MacBook and the iPad, the BookArc for Air is constructed from heavy gauge steel, with a soft insert that keeps your Air snug and doesn’t scratch it. On the base are silicone foot pads that keep the stand from sliding around or gouging your desk. In addition, there’s an integrated cable management system to cleanly shepherd all your unsightly cords behind the Air, as well as keep them in place when you need to take the computer out of the stand.
Compatible with both the recent 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Airs, the BookArc for Air will run $40 when Twelve South releases it in February.
