Rumors percolate about international iPad 2 delays, Jony Ive will likely stay in sunny California, and how your wife could help you get a free iPad 2. But the remainders for Monday, March 21, 2011 remind you that there’s no such thing as a free lunch.
iPad 2 international launch doubts resurface (Macworld UK)
While the Czech Republic was on the list of countries due to receive the iPad 2 on March 25, the country’s Apple Store Website reportedly listed a date of April 25 for a short time, before the date was removed entirely. In a move worthy of Jonathan Ive himself, one blogger came up with a way to adapt the iPad 2’s Smart Cover for use on the original iPad. As you might guess, the secret ingredient is magnets. So, I guess the Insane Clown Possee won’t be modifying their iPads any time soon.
iPad 2: Wife Says No, but Apple Says Yes (MacRumors)
Apple has reportedly been keeping close tabs on returned iPad 2 units. One story says that after a unit was returned with a note saying “wife said no,” Apple sent the unit back to the customer with another note: “Apple said yes.” After which, the iPad was returned to Apple with a note reading “wife said 64GB black version with green Smart Cover, thanks.”
