With the news that Apple will hold a media event on March 7th, it seems all but certain that a new iPad is on its way. While we wait—more or less patiently—for the big day, we've still got a few new cases for Apple's current tablet.
Camalen: The Hexa iPad (iPad 2; $115) is a case designed to help you use your iPad in the position you like best. The pop-out stand supports the tablet in portrait or landscape orientation, with several viewing angles for each. It's available in black, tea, or tan leather, or in black floater.
InCase: Incase's new Terra Collection includes the 11-inch Sleeve (iPad and iPad 2; $50) made entirely of natural materials to carry around your tablet with style. (The sleeve also fits the 11-inch MacBook Air, so your iPad doesn't fit as snug as with a dedicated iPad case.) An external document pocket lets you tuck away some essentials for easy transportation. The Terra Sleeve is available in cream with red accents; grey; or denim.
ScribeSF: This company's Slim Flip Case (iPad and iPad2; $52) is built using black walnut and baltic birch woods, is lined in felt for a snug and secure fit, and is equipped with a strong magnetic latch to keep your electronics safe. Best of all, the case is handmade to specification, which means that the manufacturer can create one designed to fit just about any mobile device.
Silva: The Carmel Bamboo Case (iPad 2; $130) is handmade out of solid wood and features a wool-felt interior to protect your iPad 2 from scratches and dents. The case sports a hand-rubbed finish that gives it a hard, glass-like surface, and it is avaialble in two models, one of which has a handle for easy carrying.
Wallee: This multi-function case can now be connected to a…handy Hand Strap (iPad and iPad 2; $20) that makes carrying your tablet with a single hand possible. The strap provides extra grip in challenging situations, and it fits securely into the Wallee's back slot so you don't have to worry about the iPad falling out of your hands at an inopportune moment.
