Apple To Feature Yelp Check-Ins Within IPhone Maps App (Bloomberg)

While we’re on the topic of Maps, Bloomberg says iOS 6 will allow users to check in at their current location via Yelp. This will integrate with Apple’s new social network, Pshaw, which allows you to ridicule your friends for the locations they’ve checked in at.

On a bittersweet note, Google is shutting down its official Mac blog, instead encouraging readers to visit individual project blogs for relevant Mac news. The rationale behind the switch? iOS and Mac support has now become “so mainstream.” That’s it, people! Shut it all down! Apple is dooooooomed!
