Roxio is introducing Toast 9 Titanium in the U.K., ushering in support for Blu-ray disc authoring and remote video streaming using an iPhone.
Toast 9 lets users burn high-definition content from high-definition (HD) camcorders and Elgato’s EyeTV devices to Blu-ray disc or DVD using a separately available software plug-in.
Support for streaming video to an iPhone (or iPod touch) comes in the form of Roxio Streamer. This software will stream video from a home Mac over a Wi-Fi connection to the mobile device, or any internet-connected Mac or PC.
Toast 9 also allows users to capture streaming audio, allowing the recording to be automatically tagged with information such as song titles or artist name.
Additional features include: Mac & PC Data Spanning, which allows users to span large files across multiple discs, including Blu-ray Discs; Batch DVD-Video conversion; Fit-to-DVD compression technology and DJ-like crossfades and transitions, output levels, and sound reinforcement filters.
The software ships with tools for the creation of CD cover artwork and integrates with iLife and Aperture for backing-up or sharing image collections on an optical disc.
