A new version of RealPlayer that allows web users to manage digital photos has been launched.
Using the new version of the software, users can now import images taken on digital cameras, BlackBerrys and devices that run Google Android onto a PC with one-click and then share them straight to Facebook.
RealPlayer developer Real Networks also said the software now supports more music and video file types, including H.264, 3GP, MP3 and AAC, and also offers users the ability to edit and trim videos.
“People today have a range of fixed and mobile devices they use to view video and photos and to listen to music. In many cases the content stays on one device because it’s too complex or inconvenient to share or move it,” said Johan Hansen, senior director, RealPlayer and consumer software.
“The new RealPlayer now supports music, photo, and video, and, with transfer to and from mobile devices, it makes it easy to manage, share and preserve the content we love.”
The company said an optional £29.99 upgrade to RealPlayer Plus, which will offer CD and DVD burning features, will be available this month.
The latest version of RealPlayer can be downloaded from the company’s website.
