The Hess Memorial Macworld Events and Party Page, now in its sixth year and 12th show, is up and running, offering THE source for every event and press function held during next week’s Macworld San Francisco.
According to author/consultant Ilene Hoffman, the brainchild behind the Events and Party Page, at least half of the MWSF attendees will see the list. Also, it’s not too late to get your party and/or event listed. All companies, user groups, and Web sites are requested to e-mail their announcements before Friday, Jan. 5. Send Hoffman any scheduled events, press conferences, or product information.
Companies are encouraged to post a free product announcement or contest on the “Fun Stuff to See at the Show” page, Hoffman said. Please send a two-line description and booth number so that users can get a head start on the best booths to visit. There’s also a user registration page for those who would like to sign up for the Hess Party, Event, and Chat List.
Hoffman took over the events list when the original author, Robert Hess, passed away in 1996. It’s a memorial and tribute to his hard work in the Mac community, she said.
