The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro Users Group, or lafcpug, and the San Francisco Final Cut Pro User Group, or SFCutters, will team up to bring Macworld visitors the first annual LEFT COAST FCP UG Meeting.
Coinciding with next week’s Macworld San Francisco, the confab will feature Tom Wolsky, author of “Final Cut Pro 2 Editing Workshop,” who’ll will demo the new features in Final Cut Pro 3.0, Also slated to appear are “DV Companion” author Phil Hodgetts. Not enough? Okay, there’ll be show and tells, surprise guests, and refreshments.
“This is going to be the largest gathering of FCP gurus during Macworld so be sure to get there early,” Michael Horton of lafcpug, told MacCentral. “Space is limited.”
The shindig will happen at 689 3rd Street, San Francisco (just three blocks from the Moscone Center, where Macworld Expo is being held), on Wednesday, Jan 9, from 7:15 p.m. until … well, until it’s over. The only cost is a US$5 donation to cover refreshments.

Lafcpug meets every fourth Wednesday of the month in Hollywood. The SFCutters meet on the last Wednesday of the month at 689 3rd Street between Townsend and Brannan in San Francisco.
