The Web site for the Mel Brook’s Broadway hit, “The Producers,” is very Mac friendly. So friendly in fact that when you finally locate the area where you can download a screensaver, you’ll find it’s Mac only, not PC.
However, it’s not easy to locate the screensaver, but, hey, that’s what we’re here for. Here’s how it works: Go to the Producers Web site, and you’ll see an Enter area that’s Flash-enabled. Click Enter, and you’ll see the site loading in a new browser window. Once loaded, you’ll hear the song “We Can Do It,” then a musical medley.
Navigate to “Pizzazz” (it’s represented by a woman’s head in outline) down at the bottom of the new window, and click on it. Note the options that appear. You now have two browser windows open. Click on the screensaver option will give you a third window called Producer’s E-card that has a variety of options. There you’ll see the screensaver option.
“That it’s Mac only shouldn’t be surprising, I suppose, for a film and play that takes pride in being as un-PC as possible,” according to MacCentral reader Les Posen, who alerted us to this tidbit.
